Steve was born in Northern Ontario and grew up in Thunder Bay and several other small mill towns. He went to the University of Manitoba and completed his dental degree in 1995. After working in Thompson, Manitoba for a few years, he decided to return to Northwestern Ontario and moved to Fort Frances in 1998.

Most of our kids and teens prefer coloured braces. Nowadays a lot of kids find it FUN to wear braces. It's actually the elastic ties that attach to the wires that are coloured and we have more than 30 colours to choose from. Even better you can change your colours at every adjustment. Choose your school colours, go festive for holidays or twin up with your best friend.

A dental implant is a surgical grade titanium device designed to replace a natural tooth root. Upon it we can place an abutment that can hold a crown, bridge or denture. Implants will replace missing teeth as well as prevent further bone loss and help maintain adjacent teeth. Thorough treatment planning is required, to assess bone quality and quantity.

Veneers are a type of restoration placed on the surfaces of front teeth that change the colour and shape of the teeth. You can think of a veneer as being similar to an artificial fingernail that you can chemically bond to the tooth. Composite veneers are made out of white filling material and can be placed usually in one visit.
Whitening / Bleaching

Stained teeth can frequently be whitened using at home bleaching trays that we fabricate in our office. Tea, red wine, coffee and tobacco are all agents that can stain teeth. The bleach that we use contains carbamide peroxide in a gel form that is placed in a custom tray that you wear at night. Typically, after seven days your teeth will lighten several shades.
