We provide comprehensive eye exams from our on-site Doctor of Optometry who will conduct a full eye health examination as well as provide an eyeglass prescription. Our Optometrist is available on select days during the week. With our Optician in store, our experienced staff are committed to helping you find the perfect frame along with an optimal solution to fill your prescription needs.

Our Optometrist provides a comprehensive eye exam to patients all ages. We provide treatment for a range of conditions: glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, cataracts and macular degeneration. Dilated fundus examination for detection of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, retinal holes and tears, vitreous floaters, diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy.

Private medical plans, provided though work, or self-insurance, in most instances cover most if not all the cost of a regular eye exam and prescription eyewear. The major private health providers such as Pacific Blue Cross, Great West Life, Sun Life, and Manulife to name a few usually have help lines you can phone to determine your coverage.
Hearing Services

We are pleased to announce hearing services at Tru-Valu Optical in collaboration with Nexgen Hearing. The 5 minute Hearing Check is an easy to follow pre-screen to see if you have any hearing loss. If the test shows some hearing loss we will refer you to the Nexgen Hearing Centre for further testing.
