Hummingbird Dental Hygiene
The majority of our patients tell us that they need dental care that is fairly priced and works with their schedule. We are committed to staying in touch with our patients' needs, and adapting how we operate or general dentist/family dentistry services to meet them. How do we do this? Hummingbird Dental is open at least 8 hours for 6 days of the week.

Our staff works a full day on Saturday (from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.) to make it possible for patients who cannot see us during the week. According to a recent article from CTV, the average one-way commuting time in the GTA is 42 minutes. If you're in York Region (which many of our patients are), add another 11 minutes to bring the average commuting time to just under an hour.

Our Team
Report
Having entered a dental school at age 18, becoming a dentist has always been Dr. Taghizadeh's passion. He has over 2 decades of dental practice experience, and is a member of Ontario Dental Association and a member of Academy of General Dentistry. Honest, calm and caring are just few words that patients at our clinic use to characterize him.
Our Clinic
Report
Every Hummingbird Dental team member works diligently to create a warm (and chic, of course) environment. We believe that it shouldn't feel like pulling teeth to visit your local dentist, we want you to enjoy the experience! If you've booked your first appointment with us, we look forward to meeting you!
Family Dentistry
Report
Our team of dedicated professionals work together to make seeing us a pleasant experience. We know how important that first experience, especially if you're a new patient, is at a dentist's office. Whether it's your first appointment or you have seen a family dentist many times, we understand that children, and even adults, feel somewhat anxious about having their teeth cleaned, examined and/or another dental procedure.
Periodontal Laser Treatment
Report
We use the latest advancements in periodontal laser treatment (a non-invasive way to treat gum disease) also known as gingivitis. Plaque is a magnet for bacteria, and that bacteria start to attack the soft tissue of the gums, leading to gum deterioration and nerve exposure. When left untreated, gingivitis can turn into periodontitis that affects the bone structure.
Tooth Fillings
Report
Tooth filling is a method we use to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay. By using teeth fillings, we are able to repair a tooth that has lost its normal shape and function as well as remove any remaining cavities in the tooth. During this procedure, we completely remove the decayed portion of the tooth, clean the affected cavity left behind and then fill it using a dental filler.
