The purpose of our centre is to support individuals in their quest for recovery and to educate them about therapy so they may in turn educate others. Founded in 1993, the Centre for Family Preservation and Wellness in Canada is a private Mental Health agency that provides clinical consultation and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families to help them deal with a range of emotional and inter-personal difficulties.

Emotional & behavioral problems such as anxiety, depression, anger, addictions etc. arise as a result of strained relationships and /or experience of trauma and unhealthy attempts to resolve it. Cissy and Michael can help you heal from these and other ailments of the mind and help you reclaim yourself.

Growing up is not a simple process. Family life, school, friends and other factors play an important role in the quality of a young person's life. Pressure can mount from all sides and sometimes a child does not feel they can talk to their parents about their struggles. Cissy and Michael offers a safe, comforting and pressure free environment where a child can express themself without the fear of judgment or letting their parents down.

Many couples today expect their marriage to survive without making sacrifices. They often give up easily and view normal challenges as insurmountable barriers to overcome. We can assist couples re-learn constructive communication habits, assist them in letting go of old pain and unrealistic expectations, and help them get to the root of some of their own personal issues.
First Nations & Inuit

Problems facing native First Nations People are worsened by intergenerational trauma and sub-standard socioeconomic conditions, which in turn, take a toll on family, spousal and parent-child relationships. The Centre has been treating First Nations People suffering from depression, addictions and other chronic mental health and family issues for over 30 years.
