I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with over nineteen years in the dental field. When the legislation was passed in 2007 enabling Dental Hygienists to work independently, I had a vision. My Goal is to help individuals in our community achieve better oral health and to improve access to dental care.
My passion for the profession, my enthusiasm and specialized focus on geriatric care led me to open Muskoka's first Independent Dental Hygiene Practice in the spring of 2008. Since 2008, I have enjoyed providing our community with a choice of where they receive dental care. All equipment is fully portable, easy to set up and designed for small spaces.

Scaling is the procedure in which bacterial soft and hard deposits "tartar" is removed from the teeth. The objective of scaling and root planning is to remove hard irritants and aggressive bacteria which cause inflammation to the gingival (gum) tissue and surrounding bone. Option of hand, ultrasonic scaling or the combination of both maybe used to complete this process.
