The origins of the property on which our course lies can be traced back to 1886 when Lieutenant Colonel Ernest G. May first arrived in what was then the District of Alberta in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Newly arrived from England, May was looking for land on which to build a home for his fiance, Eliza Mary Paice, who waited in England.
Finding some beautiful property near Springbank that had many trees, a creek, and a stunning view of the mountains, May quickly sent for Miss Eliza. She and Ernest were married, and together they filed a claim to purchase the land from the Hudson's Bay Company.

Nothing is more central to the Pinebrook experience than golf. After two years of renovations, our new bentgrass greens are ready to challenge, delight and impress players of every kind. Add to that our great practice facilities, including a brand new putting green, and we're pleased to offer one of the best possible golfing environments in the Calgary area.

Directions
Report
Pinebrook is located just 20 minutes west of downtown Calgary near the intersection of 101 St SW and Lower Springbank Road. Ongoing construction of the Southwest Calgary Ring Road has been causing temporary detours and/or permanent road closures which may affect your planned route to the Club. Checking the SWCRR website for current updates would be prudent to ensure that you're not late for your tee time or event!
Member Testimonials

Pinebrook Pride is alive and well. As chair of the 2018 Ladies Member-Guest Tournament, I received many compliments (from members at other courses) on our golf course beauty and our great service. The damage caused by our past horrid winter has created focus on what may be wrong with our Club, but I was reminded of all the good things.
