For a start, we're locals. Almost 30 years ago, when Horton Auto Body & Paint owner, Joyce Healey, took over the business, she was a first in the industry. A woman in a man's world, and from day one her approach to the typical auto repair process has been very different. She has created a professional, high tech workshop where you don't have to be a car buff to understand what's going on.

We are in constant touch with our direct repair insurers to make sure there are no unnecessary delays and we've adopted the latest technology and techniques to make sure you get a quality repair - be it a minor car scratch or fix of a complete write off.One of our friendly estimators will inspect your car, take photos and put together an estimate.

Minor Repairs

Typically, minor repairs are fender benders, small dents or scratches. If the car is driveable and the damage is not affecting signals, suspension or any critical function of the vehicle it's a minor repair. Car undriveable? It might need major repairs. You are required to report to the police and obtain an accident sticker for any accident where the repairs cost more than $2,000.
Major Repairs

Your car isn't driveable, in most cases you will need to call a tow truck. You can nominate to have your vehicle towed direct to Horton Auto Body & Paint or direct to us from the City impound yard. Not quite that serious? It might just need minor repairs. Contact your insurer as soon as possible after the accident.

Yes, you can. Insurance companies have what are called "direct repair" shops they refer to however in Alberta you have the right to take your car to any auto body shop of your choice. Here at Horton Auto Body & Paint we have 8 insurance companies on our direct repair programs and are always adding more.
