The Mission of Mourning Glory Funeral Services is to give families choices that are affordable while providing a professional and dedicated level of service. You are welcome to call us at any time of the day, any day of the week, for immediate assistance when a death occurs. Or, visit our funeral home in person at your convenience during business hours from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and by appointment on Sunday.

Appointments are appreciated, so that our staff will be available to assist you when you arrive. We also provide a wealth of information here on our web site so you can learn more from the privacy of your own home. The Mission of Mourning Glory Funeral Services is to give families choices that are affordable while providing a professional and dedicated level of service. Our staff will assist you to create a meaningful tribute to your loved one.

There is a comfortable, warm setting with a welcoming entry; four arrangement rooms where one of the Funeral Directors; John Schachtel, David Schurr, Chelsea Krentz, Aime Laventure and Ashley Hunter will meet with the family; two viewing rooms where a family can gather to view their loved one before burial or cremation; a coffee bar where the coffee is always on; two offices where the paper work and administration is handled; and a preparation room for holding and preparing your loved one prior to the funeral service.

The Leadership Team along with the entire Mourning Glory staff will do their very best to assist you at your time of need. John Schachtel has worked in the funeral profession for 30 years. John has been dedicated to serving families for the last 25 years in Saskatoon. He is loved and appreciated because of his personal touch, his professionalism, and his genuine compassion.

At Mourning Glory let us reduce some of the anxiety by helping you prepare a funeral service in advance. Planning ahead give clear direction about your wishes, and allows you to provide required information and keep it on file so it is available when needed.
