Built in 1999, and formerly known as the Roots Lodge, this property was developed to give the feel of a 1920's oceanfront fishing village nestled amidst the lush rain forest. Cedar walkways and paths are peppered throughout to connect each cottage and loft home. The vision of the Roots Lodge was to offer a "grown-up" version of going to camp.
Sleeping bags & bunk beds were replaced with beautiful maple beds covered in soft, cozy Roots Home fleece sheets. Free time activities of "kick-the can" and "arts & crafts" were replaced with whale watching, sea kayaking and beach combing. And, campfire sing-alongs were replaced with unplugged performances by none other than the iconic, Canadian Barenaked Ladies Band.
