These cottages were built between the late 1930s and the 1950s and maintain much of their original charm.
All cabins are fully furnished with bathrooms, some come equipped with a kitchenette and many have either electric heat or wood stoves. For many years, Riverview Cottages in Nova Scotia was owned and operated by Mrs. Bernice Byers. Under new management, as of 2017, Wendy, Jay and Jordi Grant would like to take this opportunity to welcome both regular and future guests to Riverview Cottages.
We plan to make some changes and upgrades over the next couple of seasons but hope not to take away too much of the rustic charm of the cabins, which is something that has kept people returning to Riverview Cottages year after year.We would love to hear from anyone who has visited the cottages in the past and direct any feedback to us regarding what they liked about the cottages and what improvements they would like to see.

The cottages at Riverview Cottages were built between the 1930s and the 1950s by the Atruim family. The cabins maintain much of their original charm. They are clean, comfortable and have full 3-piece bathrooms (showers). Cabins vary in sizes and amenities. Some offer a kitchenette, some are insulated with electric heat while others have wood stoves for chilly evenings.

Riverview Cottages has a number of activities on-site, including a children's play area, a large field for soccer players, oversize checkerboard and lawn games (badminton, horseshoes, volleyball). We also have a selection of board games that can be borrowed from the office. Area attractions and activities include museums, golf, hiking, fishing, boat tours, provincial parks, fossil and rock hounding, sea kayaking and the world's highest tides.
