Dr James Dunlop is a lifelong resident of Valley East and graduate of St Charles College. He received an Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 1997. He took ownership of the practice in the Hanmer Mall in 1998 with the goal of providing a full scope of service to the residents of Valley East.

OHIP covered basic eye exam. Children 19yrs and under, as well as adults 65yrs and over are covered for a routine eye exam 1 time every 1yr (12mths). Not covered by OHIP but recommended diagnostic tests for everyone are retinal pictures and optical coherence tomography. We will show you how to put in and take out contact lenses, as well as go over proper care, cleaning, storage, replacement and wear schedule.
