A bit about my sorted past. I am a Saskatchewan boy, born and raised in the heart of oil and farming country. I grew up in the very small but pleasant town of Maidstone Saskatchewan. It was a special place to grow up as I still have many childhood friends and have many fond memories of camping, bike riding, and exploring the countryside.

Let me tell you a little bit about me, I was born in London, England but my parents made a transformational decision to throw in the urban existence and we emigrated to rural Alberta when I was 8 years old. I grew up on a cattle and grain farm in the Red Deer area. Some of my fondest memories of my upbringing were the wonderful freedoms that come with growing up with space; dirt biking, sledding, herding cattle on horseback to name a few.

After finishing grade 12 at Ross Sheppard High School (some of you probably go/went there too), I went to the University of Alberta where I obtained my degree in Dentistry. And this is where I met Dr. Ian and Dr. Shawn, over 20 years ago!

As recommended by the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, we prefer to see children by the age of 7 to advise if treatment is required and the best time for that patient to begin orthodontic treatment. The first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in by that time and cross bites, crowding and other problems can be evaluated.
