                    Taking Care of Braces
                                                                                        Report

It's more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment.

                    Types of Braces
                                                                                        Report

Metal braces have become much smaller since the earlier days of orthodontics. The micro-arch braces facilitate hygiene and minimize patient discomfort from irritation. The "space-age" nickel titanium wires placed in the braces are super-elastic and allow for easier alignment of crowded teeth with less discomfort.

                    Invisible Braces
                                                                                        Report

Incognito braces also known as "iBraces" are a new generation of orthodontic braces for teens and adults. They are the only 100% customized bracket designed to work behind the teeth available on the market today. Because no two people are alike, no two sets of Incognito brackets are alike. Behind your teeth where no one will see!

                    Orthodontic Retainers
                                                                                        Report

The benefits of orthodontic treatment will last a lifetime if you wear your orthodontic retainers. Once the active orthodontic appliances are removed, the patient will receive retainers to stabilize the dental correction. Because the bone and soft tissues surrounding the teeth are stabilizing for several months after braces are removed, it is imperative that the retainers are worn as instructed.
