Escape to Horseshoe Island camp on beautiful Mistinikon Lake for your next housekeeping fishing and hunting vacation. Our camp is a boat in facility that features 12 housekeeping cottages, all built right on the waterfront for a spectacular view of Mistinikon Lake. With its 100 miles of shoreline and 24 miles of water, Mistinikon Lake is a fishers playground.
The Cottages

We offer various styles of cottages, from our basic two bedroom mainland and island units, the large three bedroom, to our top of the line island and mainland deluxe units. Whichever cottage you choose, you will find it is spotlessly clean and well equipped for housekeeping use. All units enjoy a 3 piece bathroom, which contains a shower unit, toilet and sink.
Fishing
Report
In fishing, many people say the more shoreline there is the better the fishing. If this is true, then the waters surrounding Horseshoe Island Camp on Mistinikon Lake were created for fishing because we have over 100 miles of shoreline with numerous islands and rocky shoals. These features provide a haven for Walleye (pickerel), Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass.
Hunting

Each fall, we cater to Black Bear hunters (bow or rifle) who are searching for a hunting adventure they'll never forget. Our guides have many years of experience and of course our modern housekeeping facility means you'll have a cozy place to call home during your expedition. We offer an excellent hunting package and enjoy a terrific success ratio.

Deposit of $200.00 per person is refundable on 90 days written notice, less 35% handling charge. A minimum of 2 persons per package is required. All costs and rates listed are per person. Hunters must provide a current or old hunters licence form the state or province in which they reside.
