As a result of upgrading the compounding pharmacy practice, The College of Pharmacist together with the national regulatory body, NAPRA have implemented new standards for all pharmacies that are practicing compounding. New standards for are necessary to protect our patients and to protect our staff that are highly exposed to chemicals that could be hazardous.

Dispensing medications in blister packing - cards, provide patients with safe, personalized way of taking medications. In particular, blister packs are a daily bubble packages that give the patient specific information on day and time that the medication should be taken.
By having the medication in one neat package and laid out in a way that is understandable to the patient/ their healthcare provider, the goal is to reduce medical non-adherence and therefore therapeutic success.At Coastal Care pharmacy we can custom blister pack most medications, including over-the-counter medications or supplements according to patients schedule.
