Unfortunately, the Ontario government has failed to invest in optometric eye care for more than 30 years. As a result, OHIP now only covers a fraction of the overhead and operating expenses required to deliver an eye exam.
For 30 years, the Ontario government has refused to enter into formal and binding negotiations with Ontario optometrists. This includes children 19 years and younger, seniors 65 years and older, and patients with health conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma or cataracts. In addition, we will no longer be accepting requisitions for a Major Eye Exam.

Anne Street Optometry is located in the north end of Barrie, Ontario in the Janice Drive Plaza. We have a beautifully renovated office, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. We offer eye exams for all ages, including infants. Retinal photography, contact lens fitting and low vision assessments are just some of our services.
