It is out of bounds on both sides of the fairway. A well-placed tee shot down the middle sets up a 200-yard approach to the medium sized green. Par is a good score on this opening hole. The second hole is a 417-yard par four with out-of-bounds all the way down the left side. A creek runs across the fairway some 310 yards from the tee.

2021 - Free Junior Golf Program for all SGCC Junior Members. All kids will be members of the club and play golf on the course every week of their junior program. Golf is a life-long sport that can be played by the very young and the not-so-very-young with great success and enjoyment. Junior golfers have been an integral part of our Club since its inception.

Sussex Golf & Curling Club welcomes players of all skill levels, but especially wants those new to the game to feel comfortable and at ease when learning to curl. Think you MIGHT be interested, but have NEVER set foot on a curling rink? This is a great time to come out, put on a slider, and get a feel for the ice and rocks.

Ian Andrew, of Ian Andrew Golf Design Inc, Brantford Ontario, spent 2 days in early May reviewing our course and talking with Superintendent Bernie Tabor and PGA Pro Frank McShane. This report that he provided following his visit, is the basis for actions being developed for SGCC's Strategic Priority "Course Improvements".
