Services
Manual Therapy
Our manual therapy interventions use skilled hand movements to reduce joint stiffness, alleviate pain, and restore normal tissue mobility. This evidence-based approach addresses musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine and extremities through techniques like joint mobilization and soft tissue release. Patients benefit from improved range of motion and accelerated recovery when combined with therapeutic exercises.
Acupuncture
We incorporate traditional acupuncture techniques to manage chronic pain, reduce inflammation, and promote natural healing processes. Fine needles stimulate specific points to improve blood flow and trigger the body's self-regulating mechanisms. This modality effectively complements other treatments for conditions like arthritis, sports injuries, and post-surgical recovery while minimizing reliance on medication.
Therapeutic Exercise
Customized exercise programs target strength deficits, improve flexibility, and enhance functional mobility based on individual assessment findings. Our physiotherapists design progressive routines that address specific movement limitations while considering patients' lifestyle needs and personal goals. These evidence-based exercises form crucial components of both injury recovery and preventive care strategies.
Postural Retraining
We analyze and correct dysfunctional movement patterns that contribute to chronic pain and repetitive strain injuries. Through targeted interventions and patient education, our postural retraining programs address workplace ergonomics, gait abnormalities, and muscle imbalances. This service helps prevent recurring injuries while improving overall biomechanical efficiency for better daily function.
Electrical Modalities
Our clinic utilizes FDA-approved electrical stimulation devices to reduce inflammation, manage acute pain, and accelerate tissue healing. These modalities deliver controlled therapeutic currents that interrupt pain signals and stimulate cellular repair processes. When combined with manual therapy, they provide effective non-pharmacological pain management solutions for post-injury or post-surgical rehabilitation.

Over the last five years, myself and teenage offspring have been patients at Saber for a myriad of ailments (TMJ, shoulder rehab, sciatica, calf injury, etc). The staff are professional and friendly. Once out of desperation I booked with another local physio clinic and he was terrible and ineffective, but the experience did confirm that Saber is the best practice in town. If you are very lucky, you will show up on a day when one of the physiotherapists has brought in their exceptionally calm dog.

Had lots of physio, in 3 different regions in B.C. - haven't had a better experience all-around than with Saber, my son and I both. Crazy good on shoulder rehab, even hard-cases like me keep making gains :-)

Very pleased with the level of service and care, from both the staff and physiotherapists - they all seem to engage very well with their clients. More importantly, they are very affordable. My physiotherapist was Joe Melo. I had an excellent experience with him, he was extremely supportive and helpful during my recovery. His service and approach felt personalized and beyond superficial. I did not feel like just another client. I would highly recommend him for anyone with an injury.

I was very pleased with my first visit to Saber Physiotherapy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The diagnosis was informal but thorough. The therapist explained everything quite thoroughly but without medical jargon. I left the office feeling I was in good hands.
