We are equipped with medical-grade Hepa filters and have sealed off our aerosol-generating treatment rooms. Rooms that are used for aerosol-generating procedures are not re-entered until the aim of achieving 99.9% airborne particle removal has been met with the filtration.
This means we are scheduling more time for restorative procedures, therefore fewer appointment times will be available to allow the necessary filtration time between treatments.Routine "teeth cleaning" appointments will continue to be done by hand and no polishing will be done to avoid aerosols. We are wearing the highest level of PPE when generating aerosols so as to protect our patients, ourselves, our families, and our community.

Catherine graduated with honours from the dental hygiene program at Algonquin College in 2004. She has been an integral part of the team at the Hazeldean Family Dental Centre since 2008. Catherine is committed to providing care in an informative & gentle way. She strives to make the dental experience of all patients a pleasant one through her calm and caring nature.

Dr. Simon drew inspiration from her own dentist in Sudbury, Ontario when she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She began her journey of lifelong learning by obtaining her B.Sc. with honours at Laurentian University, before studying dentistry at l'Universit de Montral.
She graduated with her D.M.D. (Doctorate of Dental Medicine) in 1997, & along with her classmate Dr. Kyra de Gouw, decided to open the Hazeldean Family Dental Centre in Kanata.She enjoys most aspects of general, preventive & cosmetic dentistry, & attends a wide variety of continuing education courses on a regular basis.
