Jan graduated from Laurentian University (a very long time ago.) and became the manager of Rainbow Country Travel Association, responsible for marketing the tourism product in the Parry Sound through Sudbury area. Jan then became the Director of the Tourism Ontario Accommodation Grading Program, responsible for the management of the program which set out to evaluate, rate and market commercial accommodation throughout the province of Ontario.
