Why have funerals? Just like baptisms or weddings, funerals play an important role in the lives of people. A funeral service is as much for the living as it is for the dead. The funeral service is a rite of passage that emphasizes the reality of death and reaffirms our own mortality.

Funerals allow us, as a community of mourners to come together to provide support to one other and celebrate a life lived, giving us a chance to say good bye and share memories in a supportive environment.Funerals are a time of transition, from our lives before death and following death a wife becomes a widow, children become orphans.
