The application period for the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program is closed. The Department is not accepting applications at this time. If you are an international investor with the skills and abilities needed to contribute to our economy and integrate into Canadian society, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence under the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Pilot Program.
Entrepreneurs

Your application to come to Canada through the Start-up Visa program will be assessed on a pass/fail basis. Four requirements must be met. If these requirements are met, your application will be reviewed based on CIC's standard admissibility criteria, including health, criminality and security. CIC may request an independent peer review to ensure that due diligence was performed by the designated organization that issued your Letter of Support.
Self Employed

You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada. Relevant experience for a self-employed person means at least two years of experience. It must be during the period starting five years before the day you apply and ending on the day we make a decision on your application.
Skilled Workers And Professionals

You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed. If you cannot show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you are not eligible under this program.
