The name "Red Bird" refers to the Shen (connection between heart, mind and spirit) in Chinese Medicine.
The Element connected to the heart is Fire (red) - the Fire Element represents consciousness, community and unity between all things, "bird" represents the freedom of our Shen. The health of our Shen directly relates to the health of our body and our body's response to healing. By incorporating the treatment of Shen, we can encourage the original information upon which the body was built and encourage the body heal itself.

About Acupuncture
Report
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient system of medicine originating from China around 5000 years ago. It is a complete system of medicine using unique ways such as observing the tongue and pulse for diagnosis. Once understanding the imbalance in the body, the practitioner is able to choose the right points and pathways to help restore equilibrium and therefore allow the body to heal itself.

When there is disease or pain, qi (energy) flows incorrectly, in the wrong pathway or backwards due to scar tissue, physical trauma or stuck emotions. Acupuncture unblocks qi so that it can flow correctly in the pathway, allowing the body to heal itself. Acupuncture treatments may include other Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities like cupping, gua sha and moxa.
