History

Before recorded history, the French River was a trade route for aboriginal inhabitants of this vast landscape. Trading furs, tobacco, flints, dried fish, copper and other essentials of a pre-modern people, they left few traces of their occupancy on the landscape - perhaps a good message for modern day Canadians.

A private world where warm waters, great forests, and pink granite meet in simple elegance, luxury and rustic chic. Romantic private cottages and an exquisite main lodge share a beautiful rugged shoreline. They are joined by a footbridge where, on a clear evening, you can see stars reflecting in the French River.

The main lodge at Pine Cove is a place to relax. The copper topped bar has a, "Here's looking at you kid, " feel to it. Dine in our exceptional restaurant Brl. Lounge in the Harting library, stocked with great literature. Sip afternoon tea, from our extensive tea menu or visit Lodge-shop.com. Arrange your next adventure on the water, with one of our experts.
The Kitchen

Seatings will be limited to ensure the safety of our guests & employees. We will be open 3 nights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) and serve up to 10 persons per evening. BBQ and "at your cottage" dinners in takeout hampers are available seven nights per week for the entire season (May - October).
