Rundle's Mission Conference
Built in 1957 by master craftsman Hobart Dowler, the Memorial Lodge beckons a time of creativity and pride in workmanship. The two-story lodge overlooks Pigeon Lake and features two stone fireplaces. Our programs teach students about the stories associated with this particular place and region, how the people here coped with and affected change and how this history is related to life in the region today.

The Rundle's Mission Society strives to promote the use of the site for reflection, environmental preservation, education and enjoyment by people of all backgrounds and locations. Located by the NW shores of beautiful Pigeon Lake Alberta, only one hour south of Edmonton, our 23 acres of forests and rolling hills create a peaceful setting for your next retreat.

History
Report
Along the northwest shore of Pigeon Lake is a trail that was travelled by aboriginal people for centuries. Ever since his arrival at Edmonton House in 1840, the British Methodist missionary Robert Rundle wanted to establish a mission. The friendship between a young farmer named Hobart Dowler and the Methodist missionary John McDougall led to acquiring this.

There is ample room for a game of baseball, Bocce ball, flying a kite or sledding down our big hills. Along the south side of the site is beautiful Pigeon Lake and our NEW Lakeshore Lookout Gazebo.

We are very impressed with the accommodation here. It is a wonderful place for a family of all ages and a great setting for our reunion. With two out of three of our family living in Alberta, we will probably return sometime in the future. Thank You very much. My Drama class rented Rundle's Mission lodge last year and had an AMAZING time!
