Morne was born in South Africa, graduated from high school in 1994 and thereafter attended the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, where he studied law full time.
After completing his articles with Canadian Pacific's in-house legal department, Ron Miles moved to the East Kootenays and has been practicing law in Cranbrook since. Ron maintains a general practice, and over the years has established a very busy family law practice. Prior to beginning his legal career, Jamie founded and operated a hardwood flooring company in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta.

The origin of Miles, Zimmer & Associates goes back to the early 1990s. He was later invited to join another firm as a partner. Mr. Zimmer brought to the firm his commercial and corporate law experience together with a strong administrative, municipal and litigation background, having been previously employed for over ten years as city solicitor for the city of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Before attending Law School, Ariane worked for her family's Construction Company, Ed Brunet and Associates, gaining valuable experience in the construction Industry. After completing her Civil Law degree (LL.L) and her Juris Doctor, Ariane articled for a well-respected law firm in Calgary specializing in construction litigation and real estate.
