I have always been a little bit apprehensive about trying acupuncture because I am not all that fond of needles, and so my assumption was that it would hurt. I was at a point where sciatica was making it painful to walk, to lay in bed, or to do much of anything without increasingly strong painkillers. I stumbled on Beverly's practice in Duncan and I asked about the process, she told me that, along with other things, she uses a laser for treatments and that it penetrates deeper than needles, so I have so far managed to avoid getting stuck with them. As well as a number of issues with my lower back and hips, I had a herniated disc in my lower back which caused excruciating pain and seriously affected my mobility.
