Royal Tree Service Inc. provides ISA-standard tree care throughout Montral's West Island and has become the largest local tree service. Our focus is on pruning trees, although tree removals will always be a large part of what a tree service does. Tree Pruning (or tree trimming) is the most common tree care procedure. It contributes to healthy and strong trees, but requires great care and experience. At Royal Tree Service we understand how trees and shrubs will respond to different types of pruning treatments. We also understand how properly maintained trees can add value to your property.

Permits are required for all tree removals, which are obtained from the Public Works department of your municipality or borough. See below for municipal phone numbers. It is unlikely that the inspector will grant a permit for the removal of a tree that is in good condition and in a suitable location.

Stump removal uses a machine to grind away a stump, of any diameter, to an agreed depth below ground level. This is usually between 6 and 12 inches, which leaves a level area for grass to be grown. Stump chips are then raked into the hole, ready for landscaping. The mix of wood chips and soil make an excellent mulch.
