Focused Solutions Counselling & Coaching

Counselling: I charge $175 for 55 minutes for individual adults, children, and teens and $190 for 55 minutes for couples and families. The Psychological Association of Alberta currently recommends Registered Psychologists charge $200 per session for individuals, couples, and families. At the end of our meeting, I will give you a receipt with my license number on it for reimbursement from your benefit plan.

Relationships: communication challenges, conflict, infidelity, separation or divorce, substance abuse, intimacy, or a crisis. I offer relationship counselling to anyone experiencing any kind of relationship challenges such as. I offer services to children and adolescents and use talk and playful approaches with kids depending on their ages and reasons for coming.

If you are receiving services at the request of an employer, a lawyer, or the courts, we will discuss and clarify confidentiality and the limits to confidentiality at the outset and at any time anything changes.

If you and another person or persons are receiving psychological support together (I.e. a couple or a group), we will discuss and come up with an agreement in regards to confidentiality and sharing of information should we meet alone or with individual members of the group.If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, please let me know so that we can find a solution.

You can expect in counselling to build a vision-a clear vision of what you want to have in your life and ways that you can get it. We'll build on what you're already doing that's working and figure out the things that you need to do differently. Counselling will be collaborative. We'll talk about things that you can do to move past obstacles so that you truly can live the life that you want.

The private counselling retreat is customized for you. I find out from you what your best hopes are, what you'd like to see happen as a result of us meeting, and collaborate with you to come up with a retreat that will meet your needs, wants, and goals. Once you've reserved your retreat, I'll send you questionnaires for you and your partner to complete separately.
