Spirit Rock Climbing Centre

Owners Ryan, Jim and Kevin had a vision of turning a vacant lot in Kimberley's Platzl into a great place for people to meet, build community and experience climbing. They wanted to provide a high quality, safe and fun place for all levels of climbers, to help shift climbing away from being a fringe sport for "crazy daredevils" and into the mainstream.

Once completed we will have your waiver on file so you won't have to do this every visit!. In B.C., a minor is anyone under the age of 19 years old and requires parental or guardian signature. Waivers can be completed when you arrive for your first climb. Or, to speed up the sign in process, download the appropriate waiver form (Adult or Minor), complete it in advance, and bring it with you on your first day at Spirit Rock Climbing Center.

No experience is required to climb at Spirit Rock. We have enough variety for beginner to have fun, and for experts to stay interested. We have three types of climbing, and most first time climbers usually stick to the bouldering and auto-belays. Bouldering is climbing low, short routes with no ropes.

Climbing is a fun activity that can be taken up, at any age. We have members from all athletic backgrounds, from 3 years old to over 80. Anyone can climb at Spirit Rock. No experience is required to climb at Spirit Rock. We can show you how to safely use our autobelays or bouldering wall in a few minutes.
