My name is Mario Baldassare Amato and I am Chatham Kent's registered acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese Medicine. A science graduate at the University of Western Ontario, I went on to study traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the Institute of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, in London Ontario.

The Chatham Kent Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Clinic is Chatham's only centre providing a full comprehensive focus on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture. The clinic is open Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturdays by appointment only. While Chinese medicine is the practice, there are various modalities used to treat a presenting pattern of disharmony.

While the practice of Chinese Medicine grandfathers most other practices of health care, it is still rather young to Canada and Ontario in particular. The government of Ontario passed legislation known as Bill 50 or the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act (TCMA), making Ontario the second province to regulate Chinese medicine in its entirety, following in the foot steps of British Columbia.
