Marble & Limestone
Report
Pressurized limestone underneath the Earth's crust allows marble to form. Impurities in the limestone during this process give marble its rich palette of beautiful colors and appearance depending on the infringing minerals. Such impurities form bands, streaks and clouds. Black and grayish shades are due to graphite; pinks, reds are mainly due to the presence of manganese oxides or hematite.
Granite
Report
Naturally occurring igneous rock formed by magma. It is normally composed of quartz, feldspar and other dark minerals. Depending on the location the magma flows, the magma metamorphisms are what give granite its wonderful variety of unique colours and amazing patterns or textures. Granite is extremely hard and is resistant to weathering which allows it to be an excellent choice for building aesthetics.
Quartzite & Calcite
Report
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock, the result of quartz-rich sandstone exposed to high temperatures and pressure. Calcite has a distinct cleavage and is reactive to acid. In terms of hardness, quartzite offers durability and outperforms granite. And unlike quartzite, calcite is very soft and can be scratch by steel and glass.
Engineered Stones
Report
Quartz composites offer a lot of advantages over other natural stones and are a great material to use in places of high volume or stress and are no less beautiful than natural stones. Being extremely hard, its virtually resistant to impact, scratches and cracks. It is also resistant to temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
