I chose to pursue a career in Chiropractic medicine following a lengthy recovery from a serious automobile accident. I was 18 years old and sustained 3 spinal fractures in my lower back. After three years of rehab, my condition failed to improve. In 1986 while studying at UBC, my future wife encouraged me to see a Chiropractor.
I was impressed by how quickly my condition improved after a series of Chiropractic treatments. After getting married, we moved to Toronto to go to Chiropractic College together. When school was completed, we moved back to Vancouver and are now raising two wonderful boys.

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist for the past 24 years. Dr. Morris Gasparin is my chiropractor of choice not only for the patients I refer, but for my entire family! His treatments are extremely effective as he uses ART (Active Release Therapy) combined with precise, selective adjustments when needed.
FAQ’s

No, you do not need a referral prior to seeing a chiropractor. Chiropractors are legislated as primary contact health professionals in every province in Canada. This means that patients can consult them directly without the need for referral from their medical doctor.
However, chiropractors often work closely with medical doctors, many of whom refer to chiropractors when they believe chiropractic treatment will help alleviate a patient's condition.Similarly, chiropractors frequently refer to medical doctors when necessary. X-rays can play an important role in diagnosis and are taken only when a need has been determined after taking a patient's case history and conducting a physical examination.

Active Release Techniques
Report
Active Release Techniques (ART) has become one of most sought after soft-tissue treatments in the world today. ART is a patented, non-invasive soft tissue technique that simultaneously locates and breaks down adhesions and mobilizes scar tissue that accompany soft tissue injuries.
Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization
Report
It is within the central nervous system that the neurological programming for posture and movement are established. This 'motor control' is established during the first few critical years of life. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) is not a technique. It is a system of evaluation and treatment that is based upon the developmental aspects of motor control to assess and restore function to the locomotor system.
