Along with owning her business since 1992, Pam has always been proud of and emphatic about staying very active in the Burnaby and surrounding community.

At Burnaby Orthopaedic & Mastectomy we offer extensive options to service the vast orthopaedic needs of our clients. A quick scan of the internet will tell you that there are hundreds of companies that provide 'custom' foot orthotics. There are very few regulations as to who can sell a foot orthotic and not all companies provide a product that is reimbursable by Extended Benefits providers.
Foot Orthotics

For optimal functioning foot orthotics should be combined with appropriate and supportive footwear. They are also commonly referred to as insoles, inserts, orthotics, arch supports, foot pads or footbeds. To be considered custom made, a foot orthotic needs to be made from a 3-Dimensional volumetric mold of the foot.

The BC Lymphedema Association defines lymphedema as when "protein-rich fluid known as lymph collects typically in the arms or legs resulting in pain, decreased mobility, recurrent soft tissue infections and permanent disability". We provide many options from basic knee stability support to custom-made bracing options for knee ligament injuries e.g. ACL tear and osteoarthritis. These braces are lightweight and used to reduce pain during daily activities and sport use. They are also a possible solution for those not seen as surgical candidates for knee replacements or for those on a surgery waitlist.
