Welcome to Olive the Lake, a family owned and operated cottage resort and fishing lodge in Marten River, Ontario, Canada. We are a young and motivated family eager to make your stay a memorable one. This is our dream and we want to share it with you. Olive the Lake is one of the prettiest properties in northern Ontario.

Located just 4.5 hours from Toronto, and situated on a private lake, come and cherish a northern Ontario fishing lodge and cottage experience. We have worked very hard to create a place that feels like home with the added bonus of being on the lake. Enjoy the lake in your front yard, catch some great fish, and sleep in a really comfy Tempur-Pedic bed.

Olive the Lake is one of Northern Ontario's premier lodges, located on a 10 Square Mile private access lake, yes that's right! What does that mean? Well, no waterskiiers, jet skies and no outside boats and the only people you will see on Olive Lake are those staying at the lodge or the two other cottages found on the lake.
Marten Lake

Marten Lake is located 10 minutes from Olive the Lake Lodge, in Marten River Ontario. For those that have the ability to bring their own boats, Marten Lake is an amazing lake and a great fishery. Marten Lake is located down Marten Lake Road in Marten River Ontario. There is an amazing boat lauch. No problem for any size of boat.
Temagami Lake

Temagami is located 60 minutes north of North Bay, Ontario or 30 minutes south of New Liskeard. Temagami is very well known for its vast lake and Northern Ontario surroundings. The Anishnabai have been living in the area for at least 6,000 years after migrating from the east coast of North America.
Red Cedar Lake

Olive the Lake Fishing Lodge - a cottage expereince located in Marten River is surrounded by dozens of lakes. For those that have the ability to bring their own boats, you have more than one choice when it comes to bodies of water. The small inlets and large open water carry all species of fish. Some areas of Red Cedar Lake gets to depths of 100 feet or more, especially in the north channel.
Hunting

Olive the Lake was host to Canada in the Rough TV in 2014, Hitmen Canada in 2015, and Wicked Tine Outdoors in 2018. These were amazing experiences in which we were able to harvest mature bears and share the adventure with viewers. With the relaunch of the full Ontario Spring Bear Hunt in 2016, we are able to offer even more bear hunting opportunities.
