Tony the Tailor was established by Tony in 1982 and later operated by Junko (June) in 1999. The shop has proudly served the heart of downtown Edmonton, providing professional and quality work to our customers for over 35 years. In 2019, after 20 years of running Tony the Tailor, Junko (June) retired and the torch was passed to Kieu, making her the third family to operate Tony the Tailor since 1982.

Face Masks

We have had a lot of questions regarding our face masks. Here is a little FAQ to hopefully answer your questions and concerns. How do you wash/care for the face mask and how often? Our face masks are made from durable cotton (cotton twill, cotton denim, linen, cotton weave etc.) and should be washed in warm water, mild detergent and tumbled dry low or hand washed and hung to dry completely.

As a courtesy to our tailor, all garments brought in for alterations are expected to be clean, smoke and animal hair free. Alterations and dry cleaning prices may be subject to change, depending on the type of work and material. We do not take responsibility for defects or inherent weaknesses that are not readily apparent at the time of drop off.

As an alterationist at Tony the Tailor, you would be responsible for providing quality and professional alterations for a variety of garments for both men and women.
