Using its own set of diagnostic tools and therapeutic techniques, Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapists always set out to correct the root of each illness instead of simply managing the symptoms. Linda Xiaochun Leng, a registered TCM practitioner and Acupuncturist, has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture since 1987 in China, the United States, and Canada. She worked in hospital settings before establishing her own clinic in 1993. She is a member of The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada.

Q: What are the needles like? A: Needles are most commonly made of stainless steel because they are impossible to break, very flexible and will not rust. Acupuncture needles are very different from hypodermic needles because it is not used for injections. They are thin and sharp so that they can be inserted painlessly.
