Floristry kind of found me. It's not something I ever dreamed of doing, but right about the time I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do/be, my parents bought The Village Green Flowers Shop in Morrisburg! I decided to try helping out at the shop and soon discovered I had an affinity and eye for floral design.
I also loved getting to know customers and serving them. After choosing the needs of my growing family, we made the difficult decision to close the shop. The Village Green always held a special place in my heart because of the long standing history of the shop in the area and the meaning of the name: a gathering place.

The smallest finishing touches are as important as the more obvious parts, and often are only enjoyed by the one who holds the bouquet most closely. It is such a vulnerable thing to make a thing and put it into the world. And it doesn't matter how many times you do it, it's a new experience every single time and every single time it has unknown outcomes and every single time it's scary.

We stock a beautiful collection of hand selected plants chosen for their uniqueness and quality. Because of our constantly changing varieties and selection, please contact us by phone or stop in so we can show or explain to you what types of plants we have in stock.
We are also able to special order plants (some are only available at certain times of the year, so if you are looking for something in particular, let us know and we will make a note of it and let you know when we are able to get it in).

Sympathy & Funeral Flowers

Flowers have an important role to play at a funeral. They bring a sense of warmth and comfort. They convey for the sender sentiments of caring and love which are often difficult to put into words. Flowers can be customized to reflect something special about the person being remembered, and personal items can be brought into the shop to carefully, and meaningfully be incorporated into the design.

This day is all about you! Weddings are one of my favourite occasions to design for! I love meeting with a bride (and often her mom, the groom, and sometimes a bridesmaid or two) and really getting to know what it is a couple wants to convey with the flowers for their special day. Weddings are so personal and so too are your flowers which is why you won't find and "packages" here!
