Idea Factory

Based in Edmonton, Alberta, the Idea Factory has produced over 185 hours of nationally aired television programming as well as hundreds of corporate and commercial productions since its inception in 1992. Some of the television documentaries created have aired nationally on CBC, Global, Newsworld, Discovery Channel, CTV, WTN, and HGTV to name a few.

When it comes to corporate video, the diversity of our experience spans many industries and sectors. We can deliver a message in a compelling style, regardless of the subject matter. Relatively new terms in the world of video, though their descriptions can somewhat confusing due to the different styles and treatments they represent.

We discuss initial ideas, including any you may have at this stage. We'll discuss various creative approaches and treatments; all with the goal of developing an approach that ensures the video connects with your audience and meets all of your communication objectives. Together with you, we determine a budget for the project.

Below you'll find a wide range of examples of the different types of work we have completed. And yet, out of the literally thousands of finished video projects we have produced, this is an extremely small sampling! From safety videos, to reality TV, music videos, and dramatic scenarios, we've done it all!

Whiteboard Animations, Infographics and Explainer Videos each provide a valuable approach to communicating a challenging message. The Idea Factory has had the opportunity to produce animations in each of these styles and for a diverse group of organizations. We've worked with non-profits, government departments and corporate industrial clients on topics ranging from pension sustainability to high school completion to reusable polyurethane parts.
