Tempo Dance Academy is proud to announce our 28th year in the Nanaimo community. Classes at Tempo include Ballet, Pre-Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Tap, Modern, Acro & Musical Theatre for all ages 3 to Adults. We are located in the North Nanaimo area, on the top floor of the Applecross Business Centre.
Summer Programs

Tempo Dance is pleased to offer a four-day intensive summer syllabus program for all students registered in grades Two and Up. This four-day program for each level of classes features current Tempo staff and guest teachers. Schedule will be released closer to these dates and an email will be sent to each dancer registered.

Instructors at Tempo Dance Academy are sensitive to the needs of each dance student, regardless of ability or innate talent, we work to find the best way to encourage each pupil. Not every dancer will turn their love of the art form into a career, but every one of them will take the lessons they have learned in their training, choreography and their performances to improve the quality of their life.

These special Creative Movement classes is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity. Creative movement uses body actions to: jump like a bunny, walk like a bear, run like a butterfly and wiggle like a worm!
