The Comfort Keepers story began in 1997 when Kris Clum, a registered nurse working in home health care, discovered first hand the need for someone to assist her patients with their non-medical needs. As a nurse, she was allowed only to tend to their medical needs.
Sometimes her patients would request something as simple as having a hot meal prepared, help with a bath, - or to have someone spend just a few minutes in conversation to brighten their day.Today, that solution is known as Comfort Keepers. Comfort Keepers provides, home care services to thousands of people by way of close to 600 franchised offices in Canada, the United States, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
