In 1978, there were three emerging criminal defence lawyers who were eager to help those in need find relief from unfair charges and accusations. Together, they formed one of Calgary's most championed criminal defence firms, handling high profile cases for almost 40 years. Law firms come and go, but the dedication that came with creating the firm - then known as Evans Bascom - helped it remain a viable legal defence option, through ups and downs.

Greg Dunn

Mr. Dunn a graduate of the University of Alberta started his legal career practicing insolvency litigation with Fraser Milner Casgrain (now Dentons), a national law firm, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. However, Mr. Dunn's true passion resided in criminal law and in 2001 he joined one of Calgary's oldest and most prestigious criminal defence law firms known at that time as Bascom & Fagan.
Matthew Deshaye

Mr. Deshaye is a partner with the law firm of Dunn & Associates. He graduated with a degree in Justice Studies from Mount Royal College in 2006 and secured his degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Manitoba in 2010 where he earned a number of coveted academic distinctions. Mr. Deshaye is a partner with the law firm of Dunn & Associates and has been with the firm since 2010.
Tyson Dahlem

Mr. Dahlem is an associate at Dunn & Associates. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours from the University of Ottawa, and received his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. While in Ottawa, Mr. Dahlem worked for two years as a Page in the Senate of Canada.
He was also heavily involved with intercollegiate debate, serving in various executive positions with the English Debating Society at the University of Ottawa, as well as serving as the chairman of organizing committee of the Canadian University Society for Intercollegiate Debate National Championships in 1996.He also worked for the United Nations Associations on the 50th anniversary celebrations of the United Nations.
