Grande Prairie Gymnastics: Empowering Athletes of All Ages
At Grande Prairie Gymnastics, we empower athletes of all ages and skill levels through a diverse range of programs designed to inspire excellence and foster personal growth. Founded in 1973 by a group of passionate parents and educators, our organization has grown from humble beginnings in multipurpose spaces to a state-of-the-art 50,000-square-foot facility that opened in 2005. Our programs span recreational gymnastics, cheerleading, parkour, and competitive training, catering to children as young as 3 and adults seeking fitness opportunities. With a legacy of coaching excellence established by pioneers like Bethe Goldie, we combine technical skill development with character-building values such as teamwork and dedication. Our certified instructors guide participants through age-appropriate activities that enhance physical literacy, confidence, and social skills. As a not-for-profit society governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we prioritize community accessibility and quality programming. Our KinderGym program uniquely integrates preschool education with gymnastics, while specialized offerings like All-Star cheerleading and adult gymnastics ensure lifelong engagement. Through camps, birthday parties, and group bookings, we create memorable experiences that extend beyond traditional sports training. Our commitment to safety, personalized attention, and continuous facility improvements reflects our mission to build a foundation of excellence for generations of athletes.

Recreational Gymnastics
Our Recreational Gymnastics programs build confidence and physical skills in children aged five and up through structured training on floor, vault, beam, and bars. Certified coaches create safe, supportive environments where kids master progressive skills while developing strength, flexibility, and coordination. Classes cater to all ability levels from beginners to advanced athletes seeking skill refinement.
All-Star Cheerleading
This competitive program develops athletic excellence through acrobatic stunting, tumbling, and dance routines performed at competitions. Athletes learn teamwork, discipline, and performance skills while building physical endurance and coordination through two-and-a-half-minute routines choreographed to high-energy music.
KinderGym Program
Licensed government preschool combines early childhood education with gymnastics for children aged 3-5. Daily activities integrate crafts, social play, and physical development to enhance fine motor skills, creativity, and social interaction while introducing basic gymnastics movements in a fun environment.
Adult Gymnastics
Weekly 1.5-hour sessions help adults develop foundational gymnastics skills at their own pace with personalized coaching. Classes focus on physical conditioning, strength training, and flexibility improvement through progressive drills and technique instruction in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere for all experience levels.
Parkour Classes
Designed for ages 5-12, parkour develops agility and creativity through safe, guided freestyle movement. Expert instructors teach proper techniques for running, jumping, climbing, and flipping while emphasizing safety, coordination, and problem-solving in a dynamic environment that encourages self-expression.
