Ballet Classes

Hip Hop Dance

Janet Cripe
Owner/Artistic Director
With over 40 years of dance experience, Janet founded DCDS in 1990. She has trained dancers who now perform professionally and operate their own studios. Janet holds certifications from the Professional Dance Teachers Association and continues to develop curriculum for all levels.
Chris Warren
Music Instructor
Chris brings 30 years of musical experience to DCDS, teaching guitar, bass, and drums. A professional performer and educator, he combines technical instruction with real-world performance experience. His students have progressed to music scholarships and professional careers.

What dance styles do you offer?
We offer ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, tap, and acro. Our music program includes guitar, bass, drums, and woodwinds instruction.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes! We have annual spring productions, community performances, and competition teams. Our dancers have performed at the Martina McBride concert and FedEx Orange Bowl events.

Our daughter has been dancing here for ten years now. Since day one, we've been proud to be a part of this studio. Our decision to choose Dance Creations is reaffirmed every year when we attend a dance competition and get to see the talent from other studios. Not only is the technique of the dancers unmatched, their professionalism, and teamwork stands apart from the crowd. We are proud to call DCDS our daughter's home away from home!

This studio is absolutely amazing and we couldn't be more proud to be a part of it! My daughter was welcomed in the middle of season with open arms by students and staff and has felt part of the group since day one.The growth and technique that she has gained in the year with DCDS has truly made a difference in her dancing and confidence! Truly one of the best studios in the area and one of the few that concentrates more on the love of the kids and teaching of dance vs just collecting money.

What a great place to learn and grow! My son who struggles with attention and hyperactivity has found a way to release his energy, improve his focus and ability to follow directions, as well as have older kids as good role models for him, it is not easy to fit in when you struggle with attention. I love what DCDS has done beyond teaching dance skills.
