The servers which host our VOIP services have been down in Montreal, and need to be reset. Unfortunately this issue is effecting not only Markham Podiatry, but hundreds of. With spring in full fledge, it's time to get those lawns nice and trimmed and ready to enjoy. However, foot injuries caused by lawnmowers are something we see far too often in the ER, and they don't often end with a happy ending.

Established and founded in 1985 by Allen Frankel, Markham Podiatry has been a pillar of the medical community in Markham and serving the residents of the greater Toronto community.

We can help our patients with general foot care issues with nails, corns, and calluses. Whether it be due to general painful nails, arthritic conditions or bad backs that may make debridement difficult, we will safely and with great care help our patients get on their feet. We follow full sterilization policies as listed by the COCOO.

Alexandra Witte was born and raised in Markham ON. She attended Unionville High School where she graduated from the arts program majoring in the dance arts in 2006. She then went on to pursue her post-secondary education in Hamilton at McMaster University and graduated in 2010 with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

Anna has been with the office for over 5 years now helping patients in various roles, she brings previous experience from other service industries which help make her a valuable part of the Markham Podiatry team. Anna is an avid fan of guitar rock and likes to work on her home in her spare time. Neeelam has been a member of our team for about 6 years now, handling all aspects of our front office duties.

Both our clinicians at Markham Podiatry hold Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degrees from US schools. DPM's attend undergraduate university programs, and once graduated they can take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and apply to podiatric medicine schools in the United States.
The 4 year program is very similar to the MD training in the initial 2 years, as often times the basic sciences classes are taught by the same faculty in the MD or DO schools.Beginning with the 3rd year, classes and training begin to shift towards an emphasis on podiatric medicine, and focus on foot conditions and ailments.
