Ballet
Our Ballet program follows the Society of Russian Ballet curriculum, focusing on technical precision and artistic presentation. Students develop proper form through progressive training that prepares them for formal examinations typically held in March. The program emphasizes posture, grace, and performance skills while building foundational dance techniques applicable across multiple styles.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop classes introduce students to various street dance styles and movement techniques. Participants learn choreography that combines rhythm, coordination, and personal expression while preparing for year-end performances. The program accommodates all skill levels with progressive difficulty that develops musicality and stage presence through contemporary urban dance forms.
Jazz

How do I register for classes?
New students can register through our online Parent Portal. Current students should confirm class times via their portal accounts.
Are competitive programs available?
Yes, our competitive and elite programs develop performance skills with regular rehearsals and multiple competition weekends throughout the year.
Do you have performance opportunities?
We host annual recitals at Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, holiday shows, and multiple competition events with theater space available for rentals.
What are your facility features?
Our Bedford location has 10 studios and a 150-seat theater. Halifax location offers dedicated training spaces with regular class schedules.

They have taught my daughter to push herself and to do more outside of her Comfort zone. She is very flexible and has a gymnastics background and they helped her to open up and show her full potential.

A dance company should focus on *dance*. Not the profits they accumulate. If you want to learn the beautiful art form of dance, please consider a studio who wish for the best for their dancers.

I wish it was possible to rate lower than one star. The company values fortune rather than it's dancers well-being. It has confused an art form with riches.

I feel like it was more of a daycare then actually teaching me things. I was in theatre and I didn't have enough direction, the kids in my class didn't either. It was basically overpriced daycare. I wouldn't recommend if your kid is ACTUALLY interested in drama/theatre.

My family and I had a similar experience. The staff was rude and non responsive, my daughter felt excluded and cried. The bedford location to be exact seems to cater to those they are familiar with. Which is fine but try to market your services to that sect you want to attract, instead of taking money from families and leaving the kids experiences marred. The camp was sold to my daughter as a platform to enhance and develop her existing skills but all it did was cause us to rebuild her confidence. Thanks Maritime Dance you rock.

This is our first year, we're in primary/one and we love it!! Our experience with Maritime has been wonderful. Parent communication is wonderful. Our teacher is amazing with the dancers. We have nothing but great things to say!!
