In 1977, Al and Margaret Waters built a small grocery shop at 4th and Edward, the centre of Revelstoke's "Little Italy." As patrons voiced a desire for a taste of their roots, Southside Market embraced its new role in the community as a specialty Italian grocery. Today, we have the same philosophy of introducing to Revelstoke a taste of home.
In honour of our past (and also because we love prosciutto), we will always bring in Italian specialty goods. But we're also looking to the future and to the rest of the world. If home is where the heart is, then we've left our hearts all over the place! From Greece to Vietnam, we're excited to share our experiences and hope that you will share yours.
