In August and September both branches were able to host very successful fundraising BBQs for local organizations. The Credit Union matched donations and Kisbey branch donated $3,129.50 to the Kisbey Museum and Stoughton branch made a donation of $1,892.50 to the Stoughton Central School Breakfast Program.
Thank you to both communities for coming out and supporting these two organizations. Although the pronvincial government has not proclaimed the date as a statutory holiday, we are going to observe it as an organization to display our commitment to the ongoing reconciliation journey. When making the decision to close we considered how we could honour our members, community and all of those affected by the residential schools.
