We believe the use of wider and longer length planks reduces the number of end and edge seams, creating a more authentic looking floor. We produce precisely milled Wide Plank Hardwood floors from new, reclaimed, and recycled wood. Because our product is custom we can use a wide variety of species, with the added specialty of long lengths, and options such as antiquing, distressing, wire-brushing, hand beveling and hand scraping, ensuring that each floor we produce is unique.
At Wide Plank Hardwood our specialties go beyond flooring; we also produce custom hardwood stairs, feature walls, barn doors, beam cladding's and custom millwork, For all of your hardwood product needs, we have got you covered. The flooring is such a keynote piece of the whole project and so successfully integrates the two floor levels architecturally.

Adhesives
Report
Fortane LD is a high-performance one-component moisture cure urethane adhesive. It is ideal for glue-down installations on all grades of all types of engineered and solid flooring. Engineered Flooring: Adhesive is applied as a full spread, using Fortane LD pails. The adhesive should be applied in sections of no more than 2 or 3 boards wide, avoiding pushing glue up and into the tongue and groove of the flooring.
Flooring Type
Report
At Wide Plank Hardwood, we manufacture both Solid and Engineered flooring, making the choice between the two options is an important decision that goes beyond personal preference. The sub-floor, heating system and installation area determine if one should use Solid or Engineered.
Our Solid flooring is made from a single plank and is precisely milled to a thickness of 3/4 of an inch and our Engineered is manufactured with a thick layer of real hardwood, which is bonded to a high quality Birch multi-plywood, creating an overall thickness that is just under 3/4 of an inch.

Maintenance & Cleaning Instructions

Vacuum or sweep the floor to remove dust, sand and dirt that may become abrasive to the floor. Damp mop the floor with Euku Care Emulsion - mix 1 tablespoon of Care Emulsion to 1 litre of luke warm water. Strato - Water based poly-urethane floors are easy to maintain, but it is very important to follow the cleaning instructions and only use an approved cleaning product.
