Wisk Air Helicopters has 35 years' experience in a variety of fields, from firefighting and helicopter powerline support, to helicopter mining jobs and medivac operations. Our pilots and helicopters have worked extensively in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, BC and all Provinces across Canada. Wisk Air Helicopters also holds NAFTA, USA Specialty Operations privileges, allowing us to work in the United States under the NAFTA privileges.
Powerlines

We are the leading choice for helicopter powerline construction, pole moves, sock line pulling, powerline Right Of Way (R.O.W.), Hydro aerial work, helicopter powerline patrol and powerline support services. Our team is experienced in ensuring aircraft use and load planning are optimized to bring project costs in on budget.
Far North

Wisk Air Helicopters currently has a total of 18 agreements with First Nation communities in Northwestern Ontario, enabling the communities to participate in helicopter services within their traditional territories.

We have extensive experience in Hudson's Bay Coast, Labrador, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Arctic Ocean, Baffin Island.

Firefighting

All of our firefighting helicopters come fully equipped with bambi buckets, long lines, cargo baskets, sling gear, and specialized fire suppression equipment. Our pilots have been fighting fires for over three decades and are trained to the Standards required by each Province, as well as Medivac ready.
Forestry
Report
We are experienced in mountain and flatland surveys of all types, FRI and field reconnaissance for provincial forest management agencies, as well as wildlife and endangered species surveys. All of our pilots hold Approved Mountain Course certification and reduced Vis training. In recent years, our 407s have been contracted by the Province of Alberta to complete the Mountain Pine Beetle Surveys in the Grand Prairie and Rocky Mountain District.
